Harvey Nash is engaged in a project with KBC Bank and they are currently looking for an Application Support Manager with mobile experience to join their growing team in their Dublin City Centre office.
Role
This hands on role will involve managing and mentoring a growing team of application support engineers. Responsible for delivery of high quality service to ensure systems availability to both internal and end user customer.
Duties and Responsibilities
" Manage the application support area including team management
" Team objective setting, mentoring, training and review
" Manager the platform and application environment, deployment, configuration, change management during the software delivery lifecycle and into production
" Incident management ensuring coordination, resolution and communication
" Manage and drive two way communication with the development and QA teams on both new software release and fixes to development, test and production issues
" Deliver effective communication and escalation of issues to appropriate to senior management
" Create and publish structured reporting on KPIs during both project ramp up and on-going support
" Liase with internal business users to define, monitor and ensure the delivery of agreed service levels, taking corrective action when necessary to ensure SLAs are met
" Management to completion of both short term and longer term projects in conjunction with project management resources
" Drive the production of a knowledge base of troubleshooting guides, FAQs and technical notes and feeding support requirements back into development teams
Requirements
" A relevant 3rd level qualification
" Proven track record of successfully managing application support team and service
" 4+ years previous people management experience
" Previous experience in software application support lifecycle
" Previous experience of software development in Oracle and PL/SQL
" Experience form the banking industry is highly desirable
" Strong understanding of Java development
" Proven track record working with project and design methodologies
" Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with internal and external clients in a professional and efficient manner
" Self-organizing, able to define tasks, establish priorities, and implement according to plan
