Our client are seeking to recruit an IT Manager for a permanent role based in Dublin. Key elements for the role will involve operation and development of all company systems including LAN, WAN, SAN, application support, servers and telecoms infrastructure.
Salary: Negotiable
Key responsibilities:
" Carry out routine systems analyses of installed systems and networks to assess performance and determine growth needs
" Proven track record in virtual environment upgrades, governance and migrations
" Develop and manage network management controls
" Oversee the creation and maintenance of documentation of existing infrastructure management procedures and operating methods
" Develop the ICT Security Policies and Procedures
" Management and administration of virtual environment / Firewall maintenance and upgrades / SAN Management
" Troubleshoot and resolve network and telecoms problems
" Initiate cost savings and operational improvement by optimising the use of installed systems.
" Participation in the ICT On Call service
Qualifications / skills required
" Degree in Information Technology or related discipline
" 3-7 years developing and supporting ICT infrastructure
" 4 years experience with desktop virtualization (thin/zero clients) / 3 years with virtual server environments
" Migration of active directory and exchange environments
" Strategic thinking and commercial awareness
" People management and people development skills
