The Position is a Senior Oracle Database Administrator based in Cork.
You must have 7-10+ years of database experience working in a Sun Solaris or LINUX environment. Enterprise production DBA experience working in a team in a mid to large sized company required.
You will need to be comfortable working in a UNIX environment where you will responsible for the design, creation and maintenance of Oracle databases.
* Work independently on moderate to complex assignments
* Install, configure and upgrade Oracle server software and related products in a UNIX environment.
* Design, create, maintain and insure recoverability of Oracle databases in a UNIX environment.
* Allocate systems storage and develop plans for future storage requirements.(Capacity planning)
* Establish effective database performance monitoring procedures.
* Control and monitor user access to databases and maintain database security.
* Provide reliable, recoverable and scalable database computing environments to store and integrate company data.
* Responsible for 7x24 support of production databases.
* Set up and maintain documentation and standards.
