Seeking an experienced Operational Procurement Specialist to provide assurance to procurement operations that governance matters are managed and controlled and that risks and issues are identified, mitigated and communicated.
The Role
-Provide a quality assurance role for procurement operations whilst supporting financial planning and reporting processes.
-Act as the relationship manager between country and BPO supplier for resolution of business and operational issues for Procurement Operations and Accounts Payable services
- Effective resolution of queries
- Handle a range of often complex accounts tasks, resolve customer queries, provide information and processing/reconciling data
- Demonstrate in depth knowledge of processes and procedures relevant to Operational Procurement and Accounts Payable functions and take a proactive role in improving efficiency
-Co-ordinate and conduct assurance reviews of procurement and accounts payable processes and controls
-Ensure that all governance issues (Identified Risks, Audit points, Compliance points, External Audit points) are managed to effective and timely conclusion.
- Governance oversight across procurement operations and accounts payable functions. Including continual development and maintenance of the Offshore Controls Framework to ensure fitness for purpose
The Person
-Min 5yrs experience of working in an operational procurement environment.
-Experience of risk management and quality assurance function/role.
-Knowledge of relevant business area.
-Thorough knowledge of procurement industry practice.
-High level of financial awareness.
-Working knowledge of Source to Pay processes.
-Good understanding of insurance administration, systems and procedures.
