Senior Java Developer

My client is currently seeking a talented Senior Java Developer to join their team of engineers for an initial 12 month contract.

Qualifications and Experience
* Third Level Degree/Masters in computer-related discipline
* 5 years+ development experience with at least 3 years hands-on experience in Java technologies

Technical Skills
Required implementation experience in all of the following technologies:
* Strong Java/J2SE
* Swing or other UI development (including HTML/CSS web applications)
* MVC
* OOA&D
* Relational databases and SQL
* Knowledge of Linux, GNU tools and shell scripting

Key Requirements
* Excellent analytical and communication skills, both oral and written.
* Proven ability to be a self starter.
* Expert troubleshooting skills
* Enthusiasm for evaluating and understanding new technologies
* Ability to analyze data and problems.
* Knowledge of design patterns.
* English: Fluent
