Job Title: Senior User Interface Developer
Location: Cork
Duration: 6 Months
My client is one the country's largest software development organisations. They provide consultancy and leading edge software solutions for a wide range of international clients. They are offering an excellent opportunity for an experience Senior User Interface Developer to join their operations on a 6 month contract.
Responsibilities:
The role will require constant interaction with other developers in the team and project management to develop and maintain a robust, scalable, and performant system.
Desired Skills
* 3+ years experience implementing high traffic web applications with dynamic UI.
* Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX, JQuery and other
* Experience implementing front-end components optimized for speed and cross-browser compatibility.
* Knowledge of modern JavaScript programming patterns, such as client-side MVC, dynamic resource loading, JSONP, event-driven programming, etc.
* Extensive experience converting visual designs to HTML, with an acute eye for detail and design fidelity
* Experience of JavaScript and CSS frameworks, such as YUI, CSS Grid (960, 1140), jQuery Mobile, RequireJS, Event.js, Node.js, Knockout.js, Modernizr, Angular.js and LESS.
* Exposure to agile development practices, especially SCRUM based.
* Awareness of code management solutions such as Team Foundation Server and Git.
* Familiarity with mobile web development on iOS/Android devices and Responsive Web Design would be beneficial
* Knowledge of popular social media plugins, such as Facebook and Twitter, along with their relevant APIs
* Ability to draft and communicate UI design concepts
* A portfolio showcasing a track record of creating strong User Interface development experience
* Experience with Java Servlet, JSP, JSTL
