Description
Job Function:
This position will be involved in the operational support of multiple Active Directory and LDAP directory environments and may expand into operational support of messaging infrastructure (Exchange and Lync). Activities include customer support, daily operations, deployment of security solutions with the use of Group Policy Objects, troubleshooting issues, supporting cross-organizational efforts, updates and improvements to the infrastructures, monitoring, taking part in the on-call rotation and responding to critical situations. The position will also be involved in Identity Management, Federation and other authentication and authorization functions. This is not a general User and Computers administration position.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the daily operations in multiple areas of Active Directory as well as LDAP directories and may expand into operational support of messaging infrastructure (Exchange and Lync). Your responsibilities would also include participation in the on-call rotation for 24/7 support of the infrastructures. You will assist in the deployment of new Organizational Unit structures, Rights delegation within the directory, the deployment of Group Policy Objects, Site and Subnet assignments, DNS modifications and have responsibility for applications and services that encompass the directory infrastructure such as backups, auditing, monitoring, etc. You will also participate in team efforts and projects for Identity Management and Security initiatives.
Skills/Experience:
. Solid experience administering Active Directory
. Experience with other LDAP directories
. Managing identity between infrastructures
. Requires experience with Windows Server 2008 Active Directory multi-Site environments
. Group Policy management
. Security within Active Directory
. Troubleshooting skills with multi-Site and multi domain environments
. Forest to Forest trust relationships
. Federation - ADFS
. Full understanding of Active Directory Replication
. FRS
. DNS
. Windows Time service
. Monitoring of Active Directory
. Backup of Active Directory
. An understanding of network topology
. LDAP knowledge
. Kerberos knowledge
. Basic MS Exchange administration
. Basic MS Lync administration
. Message routing knowledge is a plus
. MS Outlook support
. MDM experience is a plus
. Programming/scripting experience preferred
. VMWare experience preferred
. Linux understanding desired
. Excellent documentation skills
. Good customer service skills
Education:
Required: Bachelor's, Computer Science and/or Information Technology and MCITP a plus
Additional Skills: Coding/scripting experience with moderate to complex assignments using Perl, PowerShell and/or C++
