Seeking a QA Tester with 4 years experience for an IT company.
Candidates from a testing background need to have strong technical abilities, so as to feed into test ware automation strategies, creation, debugging, etc. They need to be able to demonstrate that they understand the principles of test-ware automation, and not just be an expert of a specific test ware automation tool without the ability to apply that knowledge to a different project and test approach.

Candidates from a development background need to show an interest and understanding of testing. We need someone who understands what needs to be tested and getting sufficient test coverage, without getting stuck down in the detail of technical implementation of the test ware - i.e. blinded by the technical implementation, and end up with insufficient test coverage or not actually testing want needed to be tested.
Previous experience testing in an agile development environment
* Able to identify test strategies and create test plans from early meetings with project team with limited project documentation available
Practical experience with automated software testing
* Either third party tools (e.g. watiN, FIT, JMeter, NUnit) or in-house created automated testware
· Ability to work on own initiative, but also able to identify and delegate work to others
· Current role involves some degree of programming (e.g. C#, C, java) or scripting (e.g. PowerShell, Perl)
· Computing related Diploma or Degree that included programming![]()
