Overview:
A highly motivated Senior Systems Analyst to work as a member of an agile team. As a member of the Analysis and Quality Assurance Engineering (QA) group, you will work in a fast-paced agile development environment with business and system teams to define requirements and ensure applications satisfy business requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
* Gathering of requirements and leading the systems design effort, requirements definition and documentation.
* Manage priorities and workload associated with multiple, concurrent projects.
* Effectively communicate and influence business partners to gain consensus on project issues.
* On occasion, present to moderate sized groups on technical subjects and demonstrate systems.
* Assure project meets quality standards by providing technical guidance, planning, and test execution on complex projects.
* Define and execute production verification and validation.
* Proactively communicate findings and project status to management.
* Define and implement process improvements.
Skills and Knowledge
* Applications/technology knowledge and expertise in web applications.
* SQL expertise.
* Experience with agile development methodologies.
* Expertise using Rational Team Concert, Selenium, RQM and BPT a plus.
* Experience with trading systems, mutual funds, investment professional and shareholder sites.
* Solid understanding of the software development process including analysis, design, coding, testing, problem resolution and planning.
Education and Experience
* 8+ years systems analysis experience within the IT field, financial services environment.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar.
* Proven ability to work cooperatively and effectively with business and systems personnel in a team environment.
* Must possess a willingness and aptitude to embrace new ideas and master concepts rapidly.
* Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
