Software Developer - Delivery Automation Department: Technology Operations

The Role:
The Continuous Delivery Automation group is a cross functional team, responsible for delivering internal tools and solutions to the developers in the organization. These tools enable their teams to deliver high quality fast and reliable software. By treating infrastructure as code and automating the provisioning and management of infrastructure that developers use, teams can self-provision mixed-OS environments quickly and repeatedly. Leveraging cloud providers, these environments can be created, scaled and destroyed on demand.
Key Responsibilities:
? Developing software solutions for automating and managing our infrastructure and software
? Developing interfaces for said solutions (Web UI, Command Line, API, etc.)
? Working with developers to understand their needs and to incorporate their feedback into the solutions they create
Experience/Skills/Knowledge:
Applicants must have the following:
? 3+ years' experience in software development in an OOP or scripting language of your choice
? Have programmed in, or be interested in learning Ruby (tools in this space are often written in Ruby)
? Experience with automated management of mixed Linux and Windows environments (i.e. scripting)
? Enthusiasm and ability to learn on your feet
Applicants will preferably have:
? Experience with Ruby on Rails or similar on stack of their choice (e.g. ASP.Net, Django)
? Experience using configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, Salt etc.
? Experience using MySQL, SQL Server or any NoSQL Databases
? Experience using Cloud IaaS providers e.g. AWS API or VMWare API
? Ubuntu/Debian and Bash (or shell of choice)
? Windows Server and PowerShell
? Source Code Management e.g. Git / Github Fork & Pull, Perforce, Mercurial, Subversion
? Experience with automated CI and deployment e.g. Jenkins, CruiseControl, Bamboo, Capistrano, Octopus
