Oracle DBA

My client is a leading employer in Cork and they currently have a full-time permanent position available for an experienced Oracle DBA.

The role will have responsibility for:

Support and manage the Oracle environment to deliver against full Oracle support and service best practice.
Develop Technical solutions to meet IT and business requirements more efficiently with greater reusability and sustainability.
Ensure that a first class service is provided to the business at all times in terms of Quality and proactive service from the ERP platform.
Work with third party vendors as required ensuring the integrity of the client's systems.


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

 Degree educated with Oracle certification being a distinct advantage
 Minimum of 5 years hands on experience supporting Oracle and Oracle EBS in a RAC environment, tasks involve performance tuning, diagnostics and data purging
 Experience with Microsoft SQL in a clustered environment an advantage
 Experience with Oracle in a VMware virtualised environment
 A broader experience base with VMware virtualisation technologies which not a pre-requisite, would be an advantage
 Experience dealing with 3rd parties with a proven ability to challenge vendors and architecture design when appropriate
