This key role will have responsibility for the management and development of the
Oracle and Oracle EBS environments. Seeking a motivated Oracle DBA who can use their expertise to assist with us our next exciting phase of planned business growth.
Responsibilities:
The Oracle DBA will be responsible for Oracle patching and performance tuning of ERP
infrastructure with a primary focus on investigating, resolving, and documenting database
performance issues and suggesting improvements in that structure. Reporting to the Technology
Manager the successful candidate will ensure that the Society maintains a robust ERP platform that
supports future growth in the business and drives a continuous improvement strategy for the DBA
function aligned with best IT practice. A key imperative of this role will be to deliver optimum
utilisation of the existing investment with a view to advising and implementing on best practice
future strategy.
Experience
Degree educated with Oracle certification being a distinct advantage
Approx 3-5 years hands on experience supporting Oracle and Oracle EBS 10g/11g in a RAC
environment, tasks involve performance tuning, diagnostics and data purging
Experience supporting Oracle on AIX and Windows
Experience with Microsoft SQL in a clustered environment an advantage
Experience with Oracle in a VMware virtualised environment
Experience of designing and implementing architectures that support 24/7 business processing
in a multi-location environment.
