My client in Limerick are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer for an exciting opportunity to join an expanding team.
You will be responsible for administering, managing and maintaining the key IT Operations infrastructure for over 1000 users.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as a key resource in the design, implementation and support of IT Infrastructure
* Proactively identify and propose infrastructure improvements
* LAN and WAN troubleshooting, escalation to third party support teams and management of issues to resolution
* Developing and maintaining procedures to enhance the security of the Infrastructure and applications
* Proactive monitoring of systems usage and performance
* Vendor management - Maintenance contract negotiations & service agreement reviews
* Work with network engineers, software developers and project managers on the launch of new service offerings
* Provide escalated troubleshooting support for the Level 1 and 2 Operation Support teams
* Ability to build, maintain and enhance business relationships in order to maximise effectiveness and achieve objectives
Technical Skills
* Expert in variety of Microsoft Technologies including Server 2003, 2008 r2, 2012 r2 and System Center Operations Manager
* Support and management of VMware and Citrix environments
* Active Directory configuration and management
* Provide level 3 Support for other IT Operations team members on various issues.
