The principal duties of this position will include:• Oversee all budgeting and financial reporting• Preparation of regular financial reports including monthly and final financial statements• Manage and assist finance staff• Complete monthly contract reconciliations to ensure profitability • Assist with bid team and financial contract set up• Gain insight into all contracts procedures and details and assist the FM admin support to ensure accuracy, completeness and timely report production• Ensure all financial controls and procedures are met and improved where required• Reconciliation and maintenance of control accounts• Agree intercompany balances• Bank and Balance sheet reconciliations• VAT, intrastat and payroll returns and support payroll process• Accruals and prepayments• Fixed Asset and Petty Cash control• Processing invoices and expenses• Assist with cheque payments and maintain cash book• Provide assistance on month-end as required and Ad hoc projects• Assist the Internal Audit process • Ensure all information requirements form External Auditors are met, and all issues raised are dealt with in a timely manner
Key attributes, skills and experience required for this role include:
• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)• Possess solid experience of between 2 to 3 years within industry accounting fundamentals including month-end management accounts, control reconciliations, tax compliance and accounts payable• Previous ownership of monthly entity accounts, including prepayments and accruals• Financial statement preparation and Sage experience• Bank account management including internet banking experience• Experience across to the entire Finance function and liaising with Senior Management• Previous experience in managing a team• Exposure to FM / services industry an advantage• Must be a team player• Must be an excellent communicator and be able to deal effectively with non-financial people• Interpersonal, influencing and diplomacy skills are required to deal with staff at all levels including senior management![]()
