Due to ongoing expansion, my client is currently seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join their high energy R&D department. They want team players who can innovate, problem solve and who want to advance their knowledge and careers to reach their full potential.
The Technical Writing Team is responsible for the creation of all supporting documentation and training materials for customers.
THE ROLE
Create, design and maintain customer documentation for telecommunication systems
Create, design and maintain Online Help files for deployment with web-based applications
Liaise with software development teams to identify key documentation project deliverables and to coordinate document reviews
Conform to documentation standards and practices set by the documentation team
Review and edit customer documentation for peer writers
Prepare presales documentation and assist with marketing material
Prepare customer release notes
THE SKILLS NEEDED
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the following experience:
Relevant degree
At least 3 years experience in a technical writing role
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience working both individually and as part of a team
Knowledge of job-associated software (FrameMaker, Robohelp, MS Office)
