A high profile organisation is looking to hire a Senior Project Manager on a permanent basis.
In this role you will manage the execution of a new large cross-functional project and program ensuring appropriate engagement. Responsibilities include management of the development of business cases, governance structures, integrated work plans, scope management plans and quality plans. You will also provide day-to-day project management services including proactive management of key decisions, risk assessment and mitigation, issue escalation, communications plans and change management.
Responsibilities
Manage and support the delivery of a large high profile project bringing together multiple disciplines and ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget and quality performance measures
Drive program execution while ensuring that the project activities meet stakeholder requirements
Provide day-to-day project management governance and support of the project
Negotiate and influence cross-functional teams to ensure appropriate resourcing levels are engaged and maintained throughout the course of each project life cycle
Ensure effective change control procedures and processes are efficiently used to maintain control on scope, schedule and cost
Drive and maintain project work plans, track and report on progress to stakeholders
Facilitate and lead steering and functional leaders team meetings
Pro-actively anticipate project risks and issues and ensures adequate mitigation plans are put in place to ensure delivery is not compromised
Provide business case development capability
Requirements
BA/BS required preferably in Finance
8+ years of increasingly responsible positions in program management or relevant experience
PMP or other project management qualification preferred
Deep experience in finance processes and systems
A wide understanding of financial services operations
Strong industry knowledge
Expert in program management methodologies
Proven ability to manage and coordinate matrixed teams
Possess strong collaborative working practices
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including experience in documenting business and functional requirements, and developing and delivering management level presentations and proposals
Demonstrated ability to drive and influence change in a large organization
Strong process improvement experience and demonstrated advanced planning and problem solving capabilities
System implementation projects experience (preferably in the area of Financial Services)
Experience indirectly managing a diverse project team
Expected Salary 80-90k
