A high profile organisation is seeking to appoint an experienced individual to join its Finance Projects Team as a Finance Transformation Project Manager, initially on a one year contract basis.
The role will focus on providing support in relation to the various projects being undertaken by the Finance Projects Team. While reporting directly to the Head of Finance Projects, the individual will be required to work closely with the Finance function heads and internal project teams
The team is responsible for the definition and implementation of the Finance’s requirements as part of such business projects and works closely with the Group Financial Reporting and Commercial Planning teams within the Finance unit to understand and deliver on their requirements. The team is also responsible for the delivery of specific finance projects as requested by the CFO/Financial Controller.
This role would suit individuals from an MI and/or Financial Reporting background with experience in delivering significant change projects in some or all of the following areas; loan book migrations, financial system implementations, MI and business intelligence development, accounting for acquired loan portfolios.
Who you will be:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), with at least 5 years experience.
* Ability to think strategically when developing solutions ensuring the requirements of all stakeholders are considered.
* Be familiar with financial systems and have a working knowledge of financial and accounting principles and practices applicable in the Banking / financial services sector.
* Experience in project management in systems implementations / change management including definition and specification of business requirements and user acceptance testing.
* Experience in the financial services sector, including banking and commercial lending, would be advantageous.
* Experience in the development of data warehouses and business reporting tools.
* Self Starter with ability to work independently.
* Excellent communication Interpersonal, analytical and organisational skills
* Excellent professional writing skills.
* Ability to carry out multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
* Excellent IT skills (proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel & Word).
