Seeking a Data Analyst for THE Global Internet Giant based in their EMEA HQ in Dublin 4.
Summary of the Role:
You will join the Finance Operations Team and will develop data to inform business decision making. Previous experience managing finance systems projects, with emphasis on providing business intelligence and data driven insight through reporting, will have equipped you well for this role. You’ll be involved in projects from inception to delivery, ensuring that your reporting delivers high-quality and relevant data.
The Role:
- Ensure that the BI strategy and agreed solutions are an excellent fit to their evolving needs.
- Manage multiple BI work streams, both on an ongoing and ad-hoc basis.
- Train a team to produce quality reporting and empower them to become fluent in SQL.
- Provide thought leadership and direction in the area of BI tools, technologies and applications.
The Person:
- Computer Science or Technical degree preferred.
- Proficiency in SQL coding across standard commercial databases (e.g. Oracle, Teradata, MySQL etc.).
- Experience in Web-scale databases, Hadoop or NoSQL technologies an advantage.
- Experience of data analytics, with knowledge of R or similar statistics tools would be ideal.
- Some knowledge of core finance processes would be great.
- Ability to convey complex information to non-technical team members.
