Software Developer/Engineer

THE ROLE
Create design and functional specifications
Design and implement complex modules with minimal supervision
Progress component design through development, testing, documentation and delivery
Review design, functional specifications and code developed by other team members
Create and review test plans and test tools
Participate in continuous process improvements
Install and deliver developed applications to customer sites

THE SKILLS NEEDED
You will have a relevant degree, a minimum of 4 years industry experience using Java and a strong background in the following areas:

Virtualization, Cloud-based Applications, Amazon AWS, VM-ware, EC-2
Strong Java and OO skills
Agile development methods including SCRUMs and SPRINTs
Standard OO design patterns
ORM frameworks such as Hibernate
RDBMS encompassing schema design
PL/SQL having used: MySQL, Oracle, PostGreSQL
Spring Core Framework including Spring web flow, Spring MVC
Maven and continuous integration tools such as Hudson
Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work as part of a team
Full software development lifecycles
Software quality processes
Linux/Unix platform
