My client is an expanding IT company in the Cork region and they are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Sales Engineer
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Managing and prioritizing sales opportunities• Travel required• Clearly articulate the benefits of applications to all levels including line of business managers• Provide input to other cross-functional departments pertaining to prospect requests and product enhancements as needed
Maintain account and opportunity updates within our internal sales force automation system
Job Requirements• 5 + years in a comparable pre-sales position supporting the sales cycle in Networking and IT Security solutions• Previous Security experience in one or more of the following desired:
SIEM (OSSIM, Arcsight, Q1Labs, etc)
IPS (Sourcefire, ISS, McAfee, Cisco, Snort, etc)
Anti-Virus
Firewall • Solid presentation and interpersonal skills• Commercial awareness and communication skills• Proven track record of managing and winning technical and high value IT security projects• Successful quota achievement• Experience of administering Unix/Linux systems, low-layer (packet level) IP networking and have a thorough understanding of network security. Experience with programming languages such as UNIX shell, Perl or C.• Highly motivated self starter that does not need day-to-day management
Desirable experience• Press experience• Delivering training courses• Prior experience with OSSIM
