Exceptional opportunity for an experienced Linux Server Engineer to take on a permanent role within a dynamic organisation. The ideal candidate will be involved in daily operational activities as well as design, build & implementation.
Salary: 60k

Responsibilities
* Responsible for the administration, support and performance of the open source infrastructure / design and implement infrastructure enhancements and solutions
* Take responsibility and manage problems and incidents to ensure problem resolution within agreed service levels.
* responsibility for operational tasks such as OS deployments, security configuration and patch management.

Requirements:
* 3+ Years' Experience of hands on administration and support of open source technologies with expert knowledge in Linux, Apache, PHP and MySQL configuration in Enterprise Environments.
* 3+ Years' Experience of hands on experience with shell scripting
* Expert knowledge of configuration management systems (CFEngine, Puppet) design, implementation and support / mail systems (Postfix) / monitoring systems (Nagios, Cacti).
* Knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, NTP, HTTP and routing.
* Excellent troubleshooting skills
* Excellent Written and Oral communication skills.
* BSc degree in EE/CS/Computer Engineering preferred, or relevant work experience / certification.
* The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
