Core duties include:
" Develop new financial applications and improve existing modules
" Write technical specifications
" Provide maintenance for existing projects
" Investigate technical and functional defects and propose adequate solutions
" Learn new IT and finance skills, as required
Skills:
" In depth practical knowledge of core Java
" Application of best coding practices
" Up to date with the latest addition and features of Java
" Ability to work on advanced Java features like reflection, Java collection and threads
" Having worked on more than one application server, namely Tomcat, IBM Websphere and Oracle Application Server
" Good understanding and working knowledge of web technology (JEE 6 specification)
" Best usage of the existing reusable components (framework and add additional to reusable repository)
" Good understanding of web services and Java implementation of web service
" Excellent working knowledge on designing application through XML
" Basic understanding on SQL is a must
