System Administrator

Seeking a Product Support System Administrator to join an expanding and dynamic team.

What is the role of the Product Support System Administrator?
* Responsible for the infrastructure and product support for one or more product lines
* Be proactive in making sure the product is running efficiently and effectively
* Work with the development team to make sure one has total understanding of the product and also advise the development team on any issues or observations when the product is running on production
* As new features of the product are been developed you need to be involved in the design and looking at iterations as they are released so you learn how the product works, behaves and is configured.

What we’re looking for:
* Expert on linux based commands
* Able to work with firewalls and load balancers and understand their operation
* Able to understand contents of TCPDUMP and other diagnostic tools
* Able to diagnose network issues
* Interested in application server and JVM optimization
* Database administration skills
* Experience in working across multiple projects/tasks
* Ability to prioritize tasks based on business deliverables
* Ability to communicate to management status, risks, issues
* An ability to work to tight deadlines and within constraints
* Ability to co-ordinate with the project team leads
* Undertake small to medium-sized IT projects as instructed by the Management
* Must have strong analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills with ability to work independently and be able to prioritize and handle multiple outstanding tasks
* Attention to detail.
