Seeking a high calibre Accountant for a strategic role with a high profile internet multinational based in Dublin city centre. The position will initially be offered on an 11 month contract basis with a view to permanency.
The Finance team is best in class and provide a value-add service as the transaction accounting is outsourced. This role sits in a technical and really smart team which handles all the new acquisition, merger and liquidation integration work.
The Role:
- Integration of acquired entities onto financial platforms and also support the global acquisitions, liquidations and mergers process to eliminate excess entities.
- The role is varied and will involve working with several global and cross-functional teams including tax, treasury, legal and accounting.
- Manage vendor to perform daily, weekly and monthly accounting functions related to Local and US Gaap rules such as: BS and P&L accounting and flux analysis, month end close process and reporting, general accounting and tax fillings and all related statutory obligations.
- Manage relationships with third-party entities such as banks, accounting firms and third party suppliers in matters related to the Accounting, Treasury and Tax activities and help to execute projects to localize financial systems.
The Person:
- Qualified Accountant, Top 10 ACA preferred.
- Previous experience with US multi-nationals or a Big Four firm a plus.
- Solid understanding of local and US GAAP.
- Excellent technical accounting skills.
- Oracle 11i experience a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
