The Opportunity
A high profile organisation is looking to hire a Business Analyst from an accounting background. This is a fixed 12 month contract role. You will report to the Senior Manager of Operational Control.
The Role
The Operational Control team works to ensure accurate financial and management information is provided in respect of commerical and personal loans. In order to support information requirements for financial and management reporting purposes, the Finance (CFO) unit has developed a Loans Warehouse (the “NLW”) which holds information in respect of acquired loans.
The role will involve:
- The preparation and review of key weekly and monthly reconciliations of loan data
- Escalation of reconciliation issues for management attention as appropriate.
- Working closely with the Master Servicer and Data Development team to provide solutions for ongoing reconciling items.
- Liaising with the Financial Reporting and Commercial Finance teams to prepare and administer finance adjustments
- Tracking the impact of Debtor Transactions on loan data ensuring the integrity of entries passed on the Participating Institution’s source systems.
- Assisting with the preparation of the Quarterly Reports
- Performance of user acceptance testing to support the implementation of data developments.
Bring efficiencies to existing processes and replace manual effort with automation where possible.
Who You'll be
- Qualified or part qualified accountant.
- Familiarity with data relating to banking products such as loans, current accounts\overdraft, etc.
- Experience in the performance of key reconciliations within a Finance function.
- Ability to work with large amounts of data efficiently and with a high degree of accuracy.
- Self Starter with ability to work independently
- Strong Interpersonal, analytical and communication skills
- Excellent IT skills (proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel & Word)
