The Opportunity
A leading European bank are looking for a credit underwriter/analyst for a 6 month contract. You will work on a small, focused team and will support the lending growth objectives of the business.
The Role
- Assess applications for the bank as assigned to acceptable standards and in line with Retail Consumer Credit Policy and credit Criteria
- Assess all relevant documents
- Possibly carry a personal lending discretion and operate within that discretion
- Review and make recommendations on applications above personal discretion.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with all channels including Branch Network.
- Ensure efficient throughput of applications and documentation in accordance with Business Partnership Agreement.
Who You'll Be
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 3 to 4 years direct lending experience with a proven ability to influence and critically assess applications while maintaining effective open and constructive working relationships.
- Thorough knowledge of credit and risk analysis, underwriting, administration, and lending policies and procedures
- An ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Broad knowledge of credit policy, credit risk parameters and procedures with an ability to interpret financial statements.
- Strong numerical ability
- Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
