Application Support Developer sought by my leading International Investment banking client for an initial 6 month contract
Key Responsibilities:
This role is for an experienced developer (or possibly support analyst) to work with the global ISG Infrastructure team to ensure the ISG applications environments are up to date, maintained and stable.
· Provide Infrastructure support to the ISG team, with an initial focus on a portfolio of ISG EMEA apps
· Responsible for problem escalation to Development team and third parties as appropriate.
· Responsible for the co-ordination of systems and database maintenance changes across a number of applications, examples include:-
* web certificate renewals
* java patch upgrades
* Autosys upgrade\migration
* Siteminder upgrade\migration
* Enhancement of
· Respond to issues raised by audit and compliance across a portfolio of applications
· Work with PM to address End of Life (EOL) and End of Vendor Support (EOVS) components with multiple tech stacks
· Provide technical assistance, consultancy to the wider development\production support teams when required
Knowledge/Experience:
· A broad experience and technical skill set desirable
· Good understanding of the UNIX OS, able to diagnose and isolate performance/load problems (application or platform)
· Understanding of Unix Security mechanisms
· Demonstrable technical expertise in
* Java/J2EE
* Sybase\Oracle with solid SQL
* Autosys
* Weblogic
· Co-ordinating geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-groups
