I am looking for a GL Accountant to join a multinational company based in Co. Louth. It is a permanent role with competitive basic salary and excellent benefits.
The role:
* This position will provide accounting support for all operations, including monthly financial close, account reconciliations and accounts payable
* As part of month-end close process work to ensure correct revenue and expense recognition in line with Company policies
* Working on maintaining a strong controls environment, assessing weaknesses in controls or in overall process and implementing improvements where required.
* Preparation of some balance sheet reconciliations in addition to review of reconciliations completed by global team members
* Working with global colleagues to calculate and determine appropriate charges and capitalization for intercompany activities
* Supporting requests for internal and external audit reviews
* Ad Hoc projects as assigned by your Manager.
Requirements:
* Qualified accountant
* Experience in Finance operations and Accounting required or alternatively experience of auditing in a multinational environment
* Experience of working as part of a finance team in a commercial multi-national U.S. company environment strongly recommended.
* Experience of working with internal and external auditors.
* Strong systems knowledge (Peoplesoft, Infor, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
* Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
* Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with colleagues in both Finance and Operations in a number of geographical locations around the world.
