Qualified Accountant with a background in shared services to join the high calibre Finance team with an innovative Internet giant in Dublin.
You will be primarily responsible for process improvements, audit support and projects within the Fixed Asset and Facilities area for countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. You will ensure that processes and systems are aligned and that a culture of continuous process improvement with tangible wins exists.You will also be involved in month end close process and be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely accounts are kept.
The Responsibilities:
-Perform daily, weekly and monthly accounting functions related to Local and US Gaap rules such as: BS and P&L accounting and flux analysis, month end close process and reporting, general accounting and tax fillings and all related statutory obligation.
- Working on projects to review current processes, identify process improvements and documentation of processes to yield efficiency through automation, standardisation and outsourcing.
Support Fixed Asset Accountants in month end close
-Preparation of account reconciliations and analysis to ensure assets are are completed fully, on time and of the highest standard
-Business partner with wider global finance team.
-Audit support for Fixed Asset and Facilities queries, both internal and external audits
The Requirements:
- Degree in Finance or Business preferred and a professional qualification CIMA / ACA / ACCA
- Project management or outsourcing experience highly regarded
- Cost or Supply Chain accounting experience preferred
- Previous Shared Service Centre experience or experience within a company dealing with varied European Subsidiaries an advantage
-Knowledge of Oracle or similar EARP system
- Advanced Excel a plus.
