The role is with a large organisation in the Telco industry. They specialise in delivering innovative business solutions to a number of the world’s leading telecom operators globally. Their products are very much focused in utilising Big Data to give their customers a competitive edge.
The type of person they are looking for is a talented project manager who comes from a Telco background and has very strong experience managing and delivering a number of large complex projects concurrently.
This role involves project managing the deployment of software solutions including managing a team of software developers, co-ordinating the project deliverables from different teams, controlling the quality of the solution, managing the schedule and budget and interfacing with the customer.
Responsibilities:
* Accountable for overall project delivery and management of project teams throughout the full SDLC
* Dealing with a number of different business partners
* Making sure their deployment gating process is adhered to
* Project preparation and planning which includes managing and tracking effort and cost.
* Making sure projects are delivered on time and to budget whilst handling any issues that arise
* There will be travel involved also
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Telco, Computer Science or Software Engineering related Degree
* 6+ years’ Telco industry experience in a team lad or PM capacity within a software deployment environment.
* Prior experience as a software engineer or deployment engineer is preferable
* Strong Leadership skills
* Development Methodologies (Agile,Waterfall, Scrum)
* Experience working within telecommunication software industry including an understanding of telecom networks, technologies and applications
* Client Facing
* PMP or Scrum Master Certification a plus
