JOB PURPOSE The IT Systems Administrator will be responsible for the day to day support and maintenance of the companies computing environments. This includes responsibility for the support and maintenance of hardware, LAN/WAN, operating systems and a wide range of applications. KEY RESULT AREA'S • Day to day Network and Server Administration (including backups, Active Directory, Exchange Server, Terminal Server, Citrix, Lync, Firewalls, LAN/WAN, Application and Desktop support)• Incident and Problem Management• LAN and WAN troubleshooting, escalation to third party support teams, management of issues to resolution• Creation and maintenance of appropriate policies and procedures in support of systems operations• Capacity and performance management across a variety of Server platforms• Planning, Implementing and supporting the network and computing infrastructure • Manage the IT specific user queries, IT requests, workstation problems and maintenance as required within the IT protocols.• Participate in the Company’s Performance Management System and ensure full compliance with all policies and procedures, reporting systems and Company Values at all times. • Participate in the Company’s on-call duty service  PERSON SPECIFICATION Principal Qualifications/Requirements • Have 3 Years plus experience as a Systems Administrator working with a large network of servers, desktop systems, firewalls, routers etc.• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 2010 -2013• Knowledge of Lync 2013 is an advantage• Good knowledge of Microsoft System Center• Good working knowledge and experience of VMWare• Have good working knowledge of Windows Scripting for the automation of IT Tasks• Experience in working with VMWare, SANs and SAN attached storage• Be a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills• Be customer focused and flexible• Have project experience including upgrades, migrations, environment set up and co-ordination of vendor activities• Have a good knowledge of major networking components• Possess experience of working in an ITIL environment • Must be able to operate in a dynamic, fast moving Company with moving deadlines.• Must have proven problem solving skills.• Must show work planning skills and have experience in managing IT projects• Must be a team player who enjoys working in a fast growing company.• Willingness to travel (up to 30% ) to other companies• Willingness to work outside the standard business hours (migration, maintenance)
