This multinational institution is one of the largest financial services groups worldwide and the technology projects they are working on at the moment are cutting edge and require someone with an innovative approach who likes working in a collaborative environment.
We are looking for a talented systems analyst to take the lead in defining a program of work in support of their Technology Risk function. Technology Risk activities are supported by a number of systems - this analyst will primarily work on evolving one existing product to best meet the needs of the function. It is expected candidates will practise techniques such as ';to be’ process definition; use case / business requirements gathering; prioritisation; solution definition; and UAT planning to achieve objectives.
Responsibilities:
* Understand and assess business imperatives and goals, articulating them as Information Technology needs
* Collect and prioritize user requests from multiple business lines for functional enhancements and maintenance tasks, together with expectations management
* Work with a variety of individuals and groups, both in person and virtually, in a constructive and collaborative manner and build and maintain effective relationships with clients, peers, supervisors, subordinates and global, regional & local colleagues
* Apply agile methodology to define and deliver new or enhanced applications / reports etc., identify and communicate systems development processes and develop deliverables associated with the respective phases of the lifecycle
* Present formal and informal presentations in various settings; one-on-one, small and large groups, with peers, direct reports, and bosses
* Take the role of chairperson at user councils, where priority of requirements / enhancements will be discussed and agreed
* Drive quality agenda across stakeholders, supporting UAT activities as required whilst ensuring stakeholders understand the importance of ongoing quality management
Qualifications/Experience:
* BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
* 5+ years in a business or systems analyst role
* BSc degree in business or technology
Skills and Knowledge:
* Excellent interpersonal skills (written, oral, influencing)
* Ability to quickly learn, adapt and change to meet the needs of a changing environment
* Ability to work on own initiative with energy and enthusiasm, whilst having the ability to effectively operate within a global team
* Ability to elicit and document process models and data models in support of defined use cases
