Our client, KBC Bank is looking to hire an experienced Contract Technical Architect to join their team within their Dublin City Centre office.
Role
The role will involve playing a key role in the design and delivery of a retail card and payments solution for KBC Bank.
Responsibilities
" Review Design and Architecture related to a card and Payment system
" Work with design and development team to set technology standards, development methodologies, etc.
" Review, identify, and recommend opportunities to optimize, consolidate, refactor, reuse, simplify and streamline the infrastructure and software asset base
" Provide expert advice on emerging technology platforms and tools
" Provide key input into the technology strategy and work with key stakeholders to influence direction, being aware of timeframes and prioritization
" Provide proactive technical oversight and mentorship to design and development teams to foster re-use, design for scale, stability, and operational efficiency
Requirements
" Demonstrated architecture design experience at a leadership level
" Expertise in J2EE, Oracle databases, RAC, JMS and JBOSS
" Proven experience and ability to work with multiple clients across multiple projects concurrently
" Demonstrated capability developing, maintaining, promoting, and reviewing system architectures
" Demonstrated experience with enterprise systems and architectures in highly scaled environments
" Successful history of experience in multiple IT disciplines that include analysis, design, evaluation, and development
" Proven experience with Oracle database design and related technologies
" Proven experience with retail card and payments processing systems
" Proven experience with data flows, queuing mechanisms, interface solutions
" Proven ability to understand the end to end solution / process and determine the impact of component failure
" The ability to clearly communicate complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
" Demonstrated commercial understanding in the technology architecture and build space, e.g. develop costed estimates, effort estimates and infrastructure estimates
