Role
To design and collate test plans and the execution of testing of software and associated business processes to company guidelines and standards
Duties and Responsibilities
" Assist with the design of test strategies for new, enhanced or modified functionality for Applications to support projects, enhancements and change requests for specific Applications
" Development of test specifications for Applications related development work to meet agreed business requirements
" Development of detailed test plans and test cases for Applications related development work
" Carry out system testing in accordance with test plans and test cases to ensure it meets technical and business requirements prior to release for user testing
" Ensuring that all errors/issues are logged and addressed, or the risk of errors is accepted by the relevant business management
" Carry out software release management for Applications related work
" Ensuring a close working relationship is maintained with business users
" Adherence to relevant department methodologies and procedures
" Ensuring compliance with relevant legislative, regulatory, audit and licensing requirements
" Assisting with the production of Applications related KPIs, regular management reports and other required management and project information
Requirements
" 5+ years relevant system testing experience in a similar banking environment
" Strong demonstration and ability in software test methodologies (ISEB cert ideally)
" Experienced in writing use Business requirement document, workflows, process flows test cases and test plans
" SQL knowledge required
" Excellent problem analysis and creative solution-building skills
" Strong communication skills, both written and oral
" Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
" Excellent attention to detail
" Motivated team player, proactive with strong inter-personal skills
" Knowledge of productivity software and issue/bug tracking systems
" A relevant 3rd level qualification
