Role: Senior Database Administrator (DBA)
Location: Dublin
Salary: 50k
My client is looking for an experienced Oracle DBA to join and provide applications DBA support to development teams working in Ireland and other global locations. You will be working as an applications support DBA and will be expected to be a domain database expert and be accountable for key initiative program database deliverables.
You will also participate in the design, implementation and maintenance of Database Solutions within a multi-database multi-tier environment.
If this is you, you will have extensive experience as an Oracle DBA plus experience in the use of SQL and PL/SQL code.
Skills required
" Database Administration experience within an Oracle environment
" Performance tuning skills.
" Strong experience working with UNIX scripting languages (e.g. PERL, shell programming).
" Comfortable with multiple database concepts, i.e. RDBMS, OODB, ODS, Warehouse.
" RAC & RMAN
" Financial systems knowledge would be preferable.
