UAT Tester - Customer Service

UAT - Customer Service
Our client is looking to hire an experienced Contract UAT Tester to join their team within their Dublin City Centre office and to work for an initial period of 2 months.
Responsibilities
" Co-operates with clients/users and senior staff as required to agree the testing strategy to be employed for development projects and production support
" Maintains awareness of testing alternatives at a level where they can be analysed and the most effective testing strategy selected and agreed
" Utilizes testing knowledge and experience to assess and advise on the practicality of testing process alternatives
" Identifies improvements to the process and assists in their implementation
" Ensures that any risks associated with the agreed test strategy and the system test plan are clearly documented and described to the clients/users and colleagues and reported to Line Management
" Assists in managing all risks associated with UAT and takes preventative action when any risks become unacceptable and liaise with management in relation to same
" Provides authoritative advice and guidance to colleagues on any aspect of UAT including training for testers and IT developers where appropriate.
" Plans, arranges and controls meetings, workshops and relations with client/user staff during test planning and throughout subsequent development and testing activities.
" Assists in taking responsibility for all phases of testing and the management of the testing activities within a development project.
" Assists in planning or oversees the planning of the system and acceptance tests and coordinates the execution of these plans.
" Takes responsibility for early life-cycle validation and verification.
" Takes responsibility for the production and approval of all user testing deliverables and achievement of testing milestones during a project in the absence of UAT Manager
" Fulfils the role of Testing Co-ordinator for a development project or program of projects

Requirements
" 5+ years relevant UAT experience
" Proven knowledge of BCP and DR required
" Experienced in writing use cases, functional specifications, scenarios, business processes, Business requirement document, workflows, process flows test cases and test plans
" Knowledge of productivity software and issue/bug tracking systems
" Understanding of release management principles and best practices
" A relevant 3rd level qualification
