Production Support Specialist
Harvey Nash is conducting a search for a Production Support Specialist with some Business Analysis experience and preferably exposure to the Insurance Landscape...
The emphasis will include supporting internal and external Business Customers to ensure user's issues (in production systems) are fully assessed and resolved.
Responsibilities:
* Proven Production Support (with some business analysis) within an IT and business realm
* Support and maintenance of production functionality and table configuration
* Impact analysis to determine root causes to drive issue resolution
* Support and scheduling of batch processing
Daily Functions:
* Performing production support and Business analysis
* Working closely with the Business teams to define the defect and/or solutions
* Maintaining a strong knowledge of the industry trends (on both functional and software levels)
* Advising on the design of test strategies for business and technical solutions in order to support user test acceptance
Competencies (Technical):
* 8+ year's experience within IT and /or related business units;
* In depth knowledge of the IT landscape including preferably within an Insurance realm
* Thorough and proven knowledge of Production Support best practices
* Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
* Excellent knowledge of business areas and their internal and external operating environments
