Contract based in Dublin for a Release Manager with some project management experience, change management, or configuration management.
Required Skills
- Previous experience in a role with a focus on Release Management within a Financial Services realm
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to work across
different projects, releases and in a fast-paced environment
- Strong program and project management skills
- Strong technical background in information technology management
- Strong process knowledge of different system development life cycles (waterfall, Agile)
- Experience with project and scope tracking tools (JIRA)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills - focus on MS Excel
- Experience with automated configuration management and code management systems
- Experience of testing and defect tracking tools and methodologies
Position Description
- Organize and co-ordinate the activities for creating and maintaining software releases into the production environment
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to execute on the system and software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Improve communication within each release, providing a single-point-of-contact for various release stakeholders
- Create and manage an integrated release plan with acceptance and sign off from all impacted areas for each release
- Manage release scope through defined criteria for adding or removing items (changes) to or from a release
- Provide enhanced compliance and regulatory controls throughout the SDLC; complete documentation to meet audit requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree (computer science, information systems and business management).
- 2-4 years prior experience in a similar role (may include project management, change management, configuration management, or expertise in quality or software development)
- Experience working with stakeholders across disciplines, including business analysts, subject matter experts, application developers, environment engineers, IT architects and testers
- Experience in banking, financial services or capital markets, especially knowledge of regulatory and economic capital concepts
