Our client is looking to hire Contract UAT Testers to join their team within their Dublin City Centre office
Responsibilities
Assist with the design of user acceptance test strategies for new, enhanced or modified functionality for Applications to support projects, enhancements and change requests for specific Applications.
Development of detailed user acceptance test plans and test cases for Applications related development work
Carry out user acceptance testing in accordance with test plans and test cases to ensure it meets technical and business requirements prior to release to Live.
Ensuring that all errors/issues are logged and addressed, or the risk of errors is accepted by the relevant business management.
Ensuring a close working relationship is maintained with business.
Adherence to relevant department methodologies and procedures.
Assisting with the production of Applications related KPIs, regular management reports and other required management and project information.
Utilizes testing knowledge and experience to assess and advise on the practicality of testing process alternatives.
Assists in managing all risks associated with UAT and takes preventative action when any risks become unacceptable and liaise with management in relation to same.
Requirements
Required Skills:
" 2-5 years user acceptance testing experience
Previous experience as a UAT tester in a banking and or payments environment
" Strong knowledge of quality assurance practices and methods
" Highly disciplined with the ability to work independently
" Strong organization skills
" Relevant qualification
" Experienced in writing test plans and test cases
" Works well under pressure
" Excellent attention to detail
" Strong verbal and written communication skills both technical and business audiences
" Motivated team player, proactive with strong inter-personal skills
" Ability to manage risk in an environment of aggressive timelines
Desirable Skills:
" Foundation in Software testing qualification certified by ISTQB or ISEB
" Experience working on agile projects
" Understanding of release management principles and best practices
