As a Senior Database Administrator you will provide leadership, team vision and direction in the appropriate application of database techniques to meet corporate information requirements. Working with other database administration staff, you will consult, advise and assist in the performance of technical activities.
Skills/Experience
You must have 5+ years of SQL Server database experience. Enterprise production DBA experience working in a mid to large sized company required.
Requirements include:
* Strong knowledge of database backup and recovery, dbcc commands and maintenance tasks
* Experience with SQL Server 2008 and 2012
* Experience in design and implementation of highly available, scalable SQL Server database solutions
* Performance tuning experience using profiler, extended events, perfmon and DMV queries
* Experience with SQL Server HA technologies (clustering, mirroring, replication, AlwaysON, etc.)
* Experience managing multi-terabyte databases
* Experience working on high-profile, externally facing, revenue generating, large scale projects
* Knowledge of networking and enterprise systems architecture
* Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, meet project deadlines, and work under pressure
* Excellent communication, customer service and people skills
* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, staff and employees
* Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
* Strong leadership capabilities - especially during problem/crisis situations
Additional Skills:
* Experience with Microsoft PowerShell scripting
* Experience with SQL Server Integration Services
* Experience with SQL Analysis Services
* Experience with SQL Reporting Services
Responsibilities
* Install, configure and upgrade SQL Server software and related products
* Design, create, maintain and insure recoverability of SQL Server databases
* Allocate systems storage and develop plans for future storage requirements
* Establish effective database performance monitoring procedures
* Control and monitor user access to databases and maintain database security
* Provide reliable, recoverable and scalable database computing environments to store and integrate company data
* Responsible for 7x24 support of production databases.
* Set up and maintain documentation and standards.

BS in Computer Science/Information Systems preferred.
