Graduate Software Developer

My client is one of Europe's most exciting and dynamic companies who have been firmly established in Ireland for the past 20 years. Due to new product/service launches in the past year, they are expanding their teams of Software Developers and offering exciting opportunities for budding Computer Science graduates who are motivated, enthusiastic and determined to embark on an exciting career in Software Development.

This is a great opportunity for a graduate to work closely with senior developers and gain experience across the entire software development lifecycle as well as working with a wide range of technologies.

Daily activities will include:

· Participate in applications development through the software development life cycle e.g. requirements, analysis, design, implementation, integration, testing, documentation and product release

· Contribute to schedules and team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms

· Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code

· Resolve 2nd Line Support issues or high severity issues as they arise

· Develop and maintain all application and systems documentation

· Build the user interface functionality of the technical requirements document

Candidate Profile:

· Analyzing Information, General Programming Skills, Design, Debugging and Technical Troubleshooting, Documentation, Testing, Problem Solving, Software Development Fundamentals

· Software Development methodologies: Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall

· Automated Testing and Test Driven Development

· SQL, Citrix, JIRA, JavaScript, HTML, DLL, CSS, Web Services, SOAP, XML, WSDL, Java, Python

· Organized thinking and planning

· Object Oriented programming

Essential:

· Degree in Computer Science / Information Systems or related field.

· Excellent communication; strong written, oral and presentation skills are essential.
