IT Application Engineer
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading Cork based multinational. My client is looking for talented people with a strong background in IT as well as leaders to help build strong teams in areas of IT Security, IT Engineers, Oracle ERP Support and IT Support Analysts.
The Application Performance Management Engineer will be responsible for the installation, implementation and on-going management and support of APM tools. The engineer will be part of the Enterprise Monitoring Team that works with and provides technical support on APM tools to IT, Engineering and Application teams.
Responsibilities
- Perform proof-of-concept (PoC) exercises on APM tools as needed for customers
- Designing and implementing software code C, C++, Java, PHP and familiarity with open source architectures
- Perform upgrades and patching on the tools
- Develop and document routine procedures for support of these tools
- Provide functional and technical support on the APM tools to customers
- Participate in project efforts with application teams
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years proven professional experience administering and supporting one or more APM tools.
- Experience creating application performance monitors, dashboards and troubleshooting using the APM tools
- Good understanding of application performance analysis and tuning Java, PHP applications
- Unix/Linux and Windows administration skills
- Self-starter with the ability to take ownership of projects and drive to completion
- Ability to co-ordinate and execute tasks working with different functional groups
- Demonstrate superior communication skills with ability to seamlessly operate with all levels of staff
Education Requirements
Preferred: Bachelor's, Information Technology or equivalent experience
Familiarity with ITIL is an advantage![]()
