My client, a leading employer in Cork currently requires a permanent Pre-sales Engineer.
Responsibilities
*Managing and prioritizing sales opportunities.
*Clearly articulating the benefits of company applications.
*Providing input to other cross-functional departments regarding prospect requests and product enhancements.
*Maintaining accounts and opportunity updates within internal sales force automation system.
Requirements
*5 + years’ experience in a pre-sales position supporting the sales cycle in Networking and IT Security solutions.
*Previous Security experience in one or more of the following desired:SIEM (OSSIM, Arcsight, Q1Labs, etc)IPS (Sourcefire, ISS, McAfee, Cisco, Snort, etc).
*Solid presentation and interpersonal skills.
*Proven track record of managing and winning technical and high value IT security projects.
*Experience of administering Unix/Linux systems, low-layer (packet level) IP networking and have a thorough understanding of network security.
*Experience with programming languages such as Unix shell, Perl or C.
