We are seeking a Junior Technical Support Engineer for our client in Cork. In this position you will provide day to day application support for our clients customers. This is a hands-on position for someone who has strong applications and technical aptitude, system and software operations skills, and likes to work in a dynamic and fast paced start-up-like environment that is running 24x7.
Skills Required:
2 + years Troubleshooting experience
2 + years experience dealing with escalations in a service environment.
Jira and any other operational and collaboration tools
2 + years of experience working in a application support supporting an array of applications and users, both internal and external facing
Experience working with Java based web servers and applications required
Experience working with Linux environments required
Background working with relational database systems such as SQL Server, Oracle and MySql
Hands-on proficiency in scripting languages such as SQL, Shell scripting, Perl etc is not essential but would be desirable
