Java Developer,spring, hibernate, SQL sought by Global Investment Banking company based in Belfast for an initial 6 month contract.
This is a challenging and exciting opportunity to work in Belfast for one of the world’s largest Financial institutions in the development of a Global Credit Risk Application.
Technical Skills:
Programming
· Java [required]
· Spring [required]
· Spring Integration [required]
· Hibernate [required]
· Maven [required]
· UNIX (inc scripting/utilities, csh / ksh or similar) or other scripting language [beneficial]
· SQL / T-SQL (Stored Procedures) [required]
· Perl [beneficial]
· SQR [beneficial]
Databases
· Sybase (or an industry standard database equivalent e.g. SQL Server, Oracle) [distinct advantage]
Knowledge/Experience:
· Senior level of experience in an Application Development role with commensurate technology experience
· Proven proficiency in dealing with complex technical issues across all aspects of the project lifecycle
· Sound knowledge of development methods aimed at providing solutions for users, adding value and identifying opportunities for improvement
· Experience of working in a demanding and results driven, time critical environment
· Ability to work on own initiative (self-starter).
· Investment Banking or financial services knowledge is desirable but not essential
