Fantastic newly created front line opportunity with a Global Financial Services organisation in Dublin city centre.
Summary of the Role:
You will be responsible for the delivery of the organisation's data protection policies and procedures. Working closely with senior stakeholders including Compliance, Legal, IT and Operations, the role will drive improvements in corporate governance, risk management and internal controls around data protection.
Main Responsibilities:
* Oversee the design of policies that protect the organisation from data-related risks.
* Monitor and report on the effectiveness of data protection policies, processes and controls
* Manage continuous improvements
* Act as the focal point to escalate and oversee resolution of high-impact data protection issues.
* Own the internal audit process.
* Manage all training and information awareness/communications relating to data protection.
The Person:
* Degree in Computer Science or Business.
* Certification in Data Protection - DAMA or similar would be an advantage.
* Experience in an analytical data processing environment.
* Track record in successfully managing/advising data protection programmes for multiple clients.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
* Ability to discuss data-related topics with subject matter experts and non-technical employees.
* Proven supervisory experience.
