My client is looking for an Infrastructure Architect to join their expanding team as they look to develop their presence in Ireland. The company is one of the largest and most successful organisations in the Online sectors.
The successful Infrastructure Architect will have detailed domain experience of working with MS SQL Databases in a 24X7 environment where system downtime is not an option.
The Production Control team manages and operates over 70 platforms, both physical & virtual and the underlying LAN & WAN environment across three Data Centres. The supporting infrastructure consists of a combination of Cisco, HP, DELL, IBM hardware platforms and Windows, Linux operating systems and MS SQL Databases.
- Data centre co-location services.
- Core network technologies including Internet connectivity, WAN/MPLS services and Metro Ethernet services.
- Knowledge of transaction processing service providers such as TNS and BT Cardway.
- Cisco (and competing vendors) network and security products (switches, routers, firewalls, IPS, load balancing).
- Security services such as DDoS mitigation services.
- Fibre-channel storage for major vendors such as IBM, EMC and HP.
- High throughput, low latency storage solutions, such as Fusion-io.
- Virtualisation technologies from VMware and other leading vendors.
- Operating Systems - Windows 2008, Linux
- Microsoft SQL server 2008.
- Application servers including IIS and Apache/tomcat
