Title: IT Project Manager
Location: Dublin
Contract rate: Negotiable
Our client, a public sector government department, is looking for an IT Project Manager to join their Dublin office on a contract basis. The role will be responsible assisting the department effective management and delivery of its portfolio of projects, ensuring appropriate definition, planning, tracking and reporting of project activities.
They will be working with IT Solutions Development and Project Leads to ensure that there is a seamless and coordinated transition of new or modified applications into the live environment. Additionally they will combine an understanding of business processes and technology capabilities to contribute to optimal solutions development, and effective project delivery in a complex environment
Requirements:
• A qualification in business administration, information systems, computer science or a related subject. • At least 7 years proven experience in a project management or similar role managing a range of applications and infrastructure projects in a complex environment involving a number of cross-functional teams.• The ability to explain complex project management considerations in a way that technical and non-technical people understand. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders• A working knowledge of the public sector and a shared service business environment would be advantageous.
