The Opportunity
A leading global bank that prides itself on delivering exceptional levels of innovation and world-class client service is looking to hire a business analyst for a new strategic re-engineering programme.
The Role
The Business Analyst will work on the Data Standards Compliance Programme. The Bank is committed to implementing a front to back Data Standard, and creating a Data Treaty to measure and monitor compliance against these standards. This will involve the integration of multiple standards including; Trade Data, Finance Data and Risk Data, and defining the hand offs. The Business Analyst will work on one of these standards.
- Assist stream lead for each Data Standard in managing the relationship with Functional stakeholders and Global Technology partners
- Assist in the development of a strategic view of each data standard using both internal and external views of data standards as inputs, and assist , where necessary, in the development of tactical / interim data standards that can be used to measure data treaty compliance.
- Define metrics to measure compliance to data standards
- Become fluent in the tools used to analyse data
- Participate in internal/external working groups directly and indirectly related to MIS, metrics and regulatory reporting
- Execute test cases and support users through UAT
Who You'll Be
- Experience in Business Analysis and Financial Services
- Knowledge of business analysis methods and tools
- Ability to prepare project documentation to a high standard including business and functional requirements, use cases and process flows
- Experience in collating data requirements logically
- Experienced in handling and analysing large volumes of data (e.g. 1 million plus records) ; competent using Microsoft Access and Excel
- Knowledge of Regulatory Risk, Trade Systems or Financial areas of a bank
- Experience of trade capture systems and associated functionality and data flows
- Knowledge of industry standards e.g. FpML, FIX
