Job Title: Murex Specialist / Consultant
Contract - 6 months (extensions likely)

As part of continued growth and expansion in the local operations and opportunity has arisen for a suitable qualified Murex specialist to perform in a techno/functional capacity interfacing with several key business units in the bank.
Essential Duties
* Provide practical solutions configurable within the Murex application to provide functionality supporting the Bank's evolving, complex products and business.
* System integration and straight-through-processing between Murex and other systems (payments, rates, limits, reconciliation systems, inter-system reporting, etc).
* Extractions and reporting (operational, MI, Belgian HQ, Regulatory, Compliance, client-facing (confirmations, letters, statements), etc)
* Major upgrades, the introduction of new technical tools or the translation of legacy solutions to the latest technology
Job Specifications
Essential Experience:
* Must have extensive knowledge of the Murex application including good experience of the Murex configurator role.
* Needs a solid grounding in banking products, especially in loans/deposits, interest rate swaps and foreign exchange. Must have worked closely with business departments.
* Needs to have delivered a broad range of technological solutions - taking business requirements, architecting solutions, developing specifications, programming, testing and delivering.
* Proficient at database design, Sybase SQL and UNIX scripting. Must be familiar with project and software-development life-cycles.
* Knowledge of RTI, MLC, payments, SWIFT, WebSphere, Business Objects, Murex services, Murex 2.11, HPUX, clustering a bonus. Experience in perl and Oracle tools a bonus
